FEATURE. I was asked to be involved in SEINE magazine, an annual print publication exploring women in their creative spaces. Featuring a series of interviews and portraits of influential and successful women in the arts, SEINE explores how the different spaces we inhabit can influence creative practice. “Since touring the world with her girlfriends band, Hannah Marshall left behind a successful career in fashion design and propelled herself into the music industry as a visual artist and creative director. It is apparent, however, that music has always been intrinsic in Marshall’s work. Predominantly known for her all-black aesthetic, she has previously designed bespoke clothing for musicians such as Savages, The xx, Florence Welch and Janet Jackson. With a strong focus on female musicians, Marshall has more recently directed her first music video.” Millie Grace Horton, SEINE magazine. Other women featured include: Annie Leibovitz, Katerina Jebb, Jane Birkin, Tallulah Harlech, Zoe Bedeaux, Alex Box, Antonia Marsh, Tati Compton, Julie Anne Stanzak, Amanda Harlech, Polly Brown, Anna Burns, Jessamine-Bliss Bell, Sarah Kathryn Cleaver, Drake Burnette, Claire Barrow, Rauwanne Northcott and Hannah Martin.
