Acabei de assistir o episódio final de Sense8.

Assisti com certa tristeza pelo cancelamento do seriado, mas não pude evitar alguns pensamentos… com certeza foi o seriado mais queer de audiência acessível que assisti nos últimos tempos.

Penso em como a menos de 2 décadas algo do universo lgbtq era bem mais restrito…

Sempre lembro e faço questão de pontuar como um avanço incrível aconteceu a partir dos anos 2000. Antes disso, tudo era bem mais difícil de acessar, em circuitos bem restritos.

Com Queer As Folk (versão USA 2000 – 2005) e The L Word (2004 – 2009) a tv cumpriu um de seus papéis sociais e naturalizou na tela os sentimentos de tanta gente ao redor do mundo, incluindo os meus, colocando em tela que é ok ser quem você é e gostar de quem(s) você gosta, independente do sexo e/ou gênero da(s) pessoa(s).

Incrível poder chegar num momento em que um seriado como Sense8 coloca tantas possibilidades de relacionamentos afetivos. ❤

Sense8 dá uma sensação de leveza e de esperança… de que é possível!!! (apesar de todo o retrocesso e intolerância que vivenciamos atualmente).
